Ganze 27 Jahre musste Carol Danvers warten, bis sie erneut ihre eigene Solo-Reihe erhielt. In der Zwischenzeit war Carol ein Mitglied der Avengers, ihr Mentor Mar-Vell starb an Krebs und vor allem Chris Claremonts X-Men Serie hatte großen Einfluss auf die Figur Carol Danvers. Im Jahr 2006 startete mit Ms. Marvel Volume 2 endlich wieder ein Carol Danvers Solo Abenteuer. Diese wurde in Deutschland nie vollständig veröffentlicht. Des Weiteren wurde sie ein Mitglied der New Avengers und später der Mighty Avengers.
